After the unannounced visit to Ramallah, the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinekn made a stop in Cyprus as well.

According to the Wall Street Journal, he had a brief meeting with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis and Foreign Minister Constantinos Kobo, whom he thanked for Cyprus’ help in evacuating prisoners from Israel after the Hamas attack.

The Cyprus News Agency reported that the American Secretary of State landed in Larnaca.

Earlier, during his visit to a village in Nicosia, Mr. Christodoulidis had stated that he would go to Larnaca for an extraordinary visit to the country, “within the context of the efforts that our country has undertaken in relation to the crisis in our region” .

Anthony Blinken is on his way to Ankara where he will meet top officials tomorrow. Earlier, he was in the West Bank on another surprise visit, where he held talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.
