Gaza Conference to be held on Thursday – Athens heavily involved in diplomatic processes on Gaza
Invitation to Kyriakos Mitsotakis at a Conference on Gaza in Paris, the French president addressed Emmanuel Macron according to information from SKAI and Yiannis Kantelis.
THE A conference on Gaza is being held on Thursday. In the event that the prime minister will not be able to go to Paris due to commitments, Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis will take his place, which will be clarified on Tuesday morning.
Athens actively participates in the diplomatic processes regarding Gaza. Earlier, there was also a telephone conversation between Mr. Mitsotakis and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The government has a clear and unequivocal position on what is going on in Gaza, condemning the terrorism of Hamas, and standing up for Israel’s right to self-defense.
However, the prime minister expressed his concern to the US Secretary of State on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, advocating humanitarian pauses for a continuous flow of humanitarian aid to civilians. Today, the first Greek C-130 arrived, carrying humanitarian aid to Cairo with a final destination in Gaza. At the same time, consultations are ongoing between Athens, Paris and Nicosia to provide a direct line of humanitarian aid by sea to Gaza.
