There is a lot going on in SYRIZA and more are constantly being added. Even the dinner of Alexis Tsipras with Gabriel Sakellaridis took second place yesterday.

Stefanos Kasselakis’ new “bombshell” about the 37 billion euro cushion did not go unnoticed. “A more monumental decision has not been made by the SYRIZA government than this pillow of Mr. Tsakalotos. That’s clear,” he emphasized speaking to MEGA. What did the president of SYRIZA do?

By “nailing” one of his former main internal party opponents, he put the reign of Alexis Tsipras and apparently the former prime minister himself in the frame of criticism. If it was a calculated move, it might indicate that after the weekend and what was said to the Central Committee, the balance changed.

The contradictions have short-circuited the party. Stefanos Kasselakis has spoken many times about 2015-2019 with flattering words. On October 26, at the Economist conference, he also addressed Mr. Tsakalotos and stated: “Let’s remember that SYRIZA with Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos left 37 billion euros in the coffers in 2019 and then the economy was smaller than today.”

The official opposition leader is confusing the lines and perhaps at today’s meeting of the Executive Bureau where the political and organizational planning will be discussed, a first clarification will be made. The criticism leveled at him by his opponents inside and outside SYRIZA is the non-political discourse and the ambiguous references to the party’s memorable years. On the same television station, he reserved another attack on the former head of “53+”.

“One of the major disagreements we had programmatically with Mr. Tsakalotos is taxation. Their attitude is increasing taxation saves and well. I don’t want to have a tax raid on the Greek. I want to reduce waste and make competition work in this country.” Euclid Tsakalotos also gave an answer: “If we asked some historians of the Left what elements make up the entire Left in the last 150 years, we might have some differences in the answers we would get. Surely everyone would tell us about redistributive taxation, the welfare state and the support of the labor movement”, he pointed out characteristically in his post on social media. “Now I am learning that the patriotic Left, without analyzes that confuse the world, does not need redistributive taxation to support the welfare state. The “new” will do well. PS: I’m guessing competition wouldn’t be in the top 100 priorities of the Left.”

The internal war that started for the economy in the period 2015-2019 will not be discussed between Stefanos Kasselakis and Efi Ahtsioglou today in the E.G. The former Minister of Labor has also informed the party that she will not be able to attend the meeting. The reasons for her absence are not political, it is emphasized from her side, there were simply some obligations that she could not postpone. Be that as it may, the landscape in Koumoundourou remains “frozen”.

Stefanos Kasselakis on the same television station tried to make a final opening to his main opponent for the presidency of SYRIZA, as well as to her close associates Alexis Haritsi and Nasos Iliopoulos. “I would be honored to stay and work together. There is no tight circle, let’s work, my door is open,” he said.

This report is not going to affect in the least the intentions of the “6+6” who plan to hold their nationwide conference in seven to ten days. Final decisions have not been made yet, but it is estimated that the broken glass can no longer be glued. They are speculating on their next moves, intensifying their contacts, seeing if a possible coexistence with “Umbrella” can proceed and in general, Efi Ahtsioglou’s team is “counting the beans”.

The “equation” is difficult, as there are different speeds and several caveats about the next step. The capture of the new parliamentary associations will certainly play a role in the final decisions. The possible creation of a parliamentary group and its leader will be the guide for the new structure that is being attempted to be established in view of the European elections.
