We have all received a single mandate to represent a left-wing progressive party in the Parliament, and this is what we must do, said the head of SYRIZA’s KO, Sokratis Famellos, speaking to SKAI.

Since there is the obligation of a progressive plan and I see that there is a crisis in SYRIZA and they even raise the issue of policies and morals, let’s work on them, said Mr. Famellos and invited the entire Parliamentary Group to be present this week in Parliament to give fighting, as this is the order from society.

He acknowledged that the president also has responsibility for unity, climate and collectiveness in the party, however he added that Mr. Kasselakis has asked for unity and calmness.

“We are obliged to calmly and coherently solve the problem and not to pull the rope, we all have responsibilities, mainly the responsibility to maintain unity. The responsibility of unity lies with everyone,” he said.

He noted that the tension has started because the election of the president has been questioned in personal and often vulgar terms and called on everyone “to put aside the toxic attacks”.

“From today we are all working together to defend Mitsotakis’ policies” he said and added that “and the comrades who have already left I think they were rushed, as the discussion on the political disputes has not yet taken place”, characteristically saying that Tsakalotou’s proposal can was accepted.

“SYRIZA is in a very intense crisis, it is not responding to what society needs and you don’t need opinion polls to understand this,” he said characteristically.
