In an interview with ethnos.gr, the independent – now – MP, Euclid Tsakalotos, with the 6+6 group in case they leave, supported the formation of a joint KO, characteristically stating that such a development is “feasible and desirable”.

Asked if the co-operation can also concern the European elections, Mr. Tsakalotos said that such a thing needs discussion and preparation, although the time is not unlimited.

The former Minister of Finance referred to the “great mobility as Mrthere are too many people who are concerned about what is happening in SYRIZA and to the Left” a fact that he attributed to the change of leadership of SYRIZA and to the management of the new leadership so far.

Leaving peaks for the period 2019-2023, Mr. Tsakalotos did not avoid saying that the political line of the new leadership of the party “seems to adopt some of the worst elements of SYRIZA 2019-2023 without putting new issues in the discussion”.

Among other things, Mr. Tsakalotos, explaining the decision to leave SYRIZA, pointed out that the aggressive language used by the new president made it very difficult to live together in the future.

Regarding the next moves, Mr. Tsakalotos underlined that “There are all the prospects for a new structure, bigger than an organization, less than a party, which will set various things, which I think can become attractive to a large part of the world.”

In the conversation that has opened on the occasion of the statement of Stefanos Kasselakis about the “pillow”, he answered that it was a basic choice in consultation with Alexis Tsipras, which could not be taken only by the Minister of Finance”.
