Both the prime minister and the government officials set as their main priority everyday life and the policies that will improve it for the citizens – What yesterday’s SKAI poll showed
By Penelope Galliou
With the opinion polls confirming one after another the political omnipotence of the ND, which also in the Pulse poll for SKAI leads by 20 points from the second party recorded PASOK, with percentages of 33% against 13% respectively, Megaros Maximou and Piraeus are preparing, without a “strong” opponent at the moment, for the next big political milestone which is the European elections in June.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis from Fthiotida “cut” the thread of the early pre-election period, calling on the citizens, in the next ballot box of the European elections, to vote based on “which party can worthily represent the country in Europe and claim important European resources, so that we can to make your own life, your everyday life better” as he characteristically said.
In fact, the prime minister also set the goal for the blue faction to receive a correspondingly high percentage to the one it received in the national elections in June. This percentage, however, as the prime minister repeated for the umpteenth time, should not be used arrogantly, as 41% of the national elections is for him and the government officials a “heavy responsibility” and an order for “more work and more results”.
Given the climate that prevails in the official opposition and the change in relationships between the opposition parties, Kyriakos Mitsotakis placed the problems of the citizens and their solution in opposition to him.
After all, at every opportunity, both the prime minister and the government officials set as their main priority the daily life and the policies that will bring about its improvement for the citizens, insisting on bold reforms and conflicts, without calculating the political cost, for the benefit of the many. As reinforcements of the government’s intentions, its results are also considered Pulse poll for SKAIwhich shows that the majority of public opinion, almost six out of ten, positively evaluate the major reform being promoted in the tax system.
In particular, regarding the government’s proposal for the new way of taxing the self-employed, 19% respond that it is in the right direction and as it should be, 40% estimates that it is in the right direction, but some corrections are needed. 30% respond that the plan is in the wrong direction, while 11% respond that they have no opinion on the issue. Freelancers are divided, however, as in the same question, almost 1 in 2 freelancers answer that the regulations are in the wrong direction, only 10% believe that they are as they should be, while 36% estimate that the proposed regulations are in the right direction direction, but corrections are needed.
However, from the first moment that the new tax bill was put up for public consultation, the government has declared that it is open to dialogue and proposals, even stating that it “listens” to any proposals that are put forward, clarifying at the same time that the proposed measures are not horizontal in any way .
