Countdown to the formation of a new KO of the 11 resigned MPs from SYRIZA, who are expected to meet at 8 pm.

“We will meet today, we will follow all the procedures in a stable and solid way, so that the new KO group that will be set up, will meet the requirements”, the independent MP Alexis Haritsis told SKAI a while ago.

He pointed out that the designation is a matter of dayswill not be decided today, while regarding the distribution of the portfolios, he clarified that no decision has yet been made and that it will be discussed today.

“We are a small parliamentary group, so how to distribute the portfolios is not a simple matter. However, I am optimistic because we have a team that can cover a wide thematic range, many have served in key positions of responsibility”, he emphasized.
Mr. Charistis emphasized that the new KO has great cohesion and everyone’s intention is to transcend any internal divisions of the past.

He also mentioned that the European elections will be the first vote of confidence from society.

Asked to comment on the criticism from the SYRIZA leadership that the split was an apostasy without a political stake, Mr. Haritsis spoke of an accusation that does not stand up to serious criticism.

“Not only the MPs left, but hundreds of executives throughout Greece. It was a difficult decision, which was not taken lightly, but this whole world could not see an entire political space degenerating recently,” he stressed.
