“Today’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People demands, more than ever, that we all take a stand on the bloodshed, the death of thousands of Palestinian civilians and the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. No half-words,” says the president of SYRIZA in his post.

Stefanos Kasellakis continues: “Openly in favor of an immediate ceasefire. The return of ALL hostages. Ending the Israeli occupation. For peace, on the basis of two states. The struggle of the Palestinian Authority, not Hamas.”

KKE: The people should continue to express even more actively their multifaceted solidarity with the Palestinian people

“This year, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people, is marked by Israel’s criminal attack, which cost the lives of more than 15,000 Palestinians, mainly in Gaza, including 6,150 children, 4,000 women, 207 doctors, nurses and paramedics, 26 members of the civil protection corps and 70 journalists, while there are an additional 7,000 missing, mainly under the ruins, among whom are 4,700 children and women” says the KKE in its announcement for today’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

“The temporary and fragile truce cannot make anyone complacent and cover up the war crimes committed by the Israeli state. The KKE, continuing the many forms of solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people, expresses its undivided support for the just struggle of the Palestinians, which inspires the popular struggle of workers all over the world” adds the statement and then points out:

“With the long-term support of the USA, EU, NATO, including the Greek government and its allies, the aggression of the Israeli state in Palestine and the wider region is intensifying, at the expense of all the rights of the Palestinian people and at the risk of a wider ignition. The correct side of History is the side of social progress, of the end of all foreign occupation with the peoples as householders in their own lands. Today, it is even more necessary to strengthen international solidarity and action against the Israeli occupation, imperialist interventions, and the designs of the bourgeois classes.”

Concluding, the party’s statement emphasizes: “The KKE calls on the people to put aside the dirty propaganda of the supporters of the Israeli occupation and to continue to express even more actively its multifaceted solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the daily crimes of the Israeli occupation against of the Palestinians for:

–The end of the Israeli occupation and its consequences.

–The creation of a single independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the borders of June 4, 1967.

–The right of return of all Palestinian refugees to their homes, based on the relevant UN resolutions.

–The immediate release of all Palestinians and other political prisoners held in Israeli prisons.

Freedom to Palestine!”
