The purchase of Eurofighter fighters, that “burns” Ankara, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler discussed during his last meeting with his British counterpart in Ankara, according to a source in the Turkish Defense Ministry.
“The British will help in convincing the Germans to sell the aircraft to Turkey,” the same source said.
British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps visited Ankara on 23 November, while there was a meeting between Shapps and Guler on 11 October.
It is noted that London and Madrid they cannot sell the modern fighter without the consent of Berlin which is also a co-producer country.
