The signing of the Agreement for Vocational Training and Education with his Turkish counterpart Yusuf Tekin was made public by posting on social media the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Kyriakos Pierrakakis, presenting, at the same time, the specific fields included in the agreement, as well as the formation of a Joint Working Group that will supervise its implementation and evaluation.
“In the context of the visit of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan and his reception by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, I participated in the 5th Supreme Council of Greece-Turkey Cooperation, presenting the positions of the Greek Government on the joint actions of the two countries in the field of Education.
On the sidelines of the meeting, I had the opportunity to meet with my counterpart Yusuf Tekin. We exchanged ideas on all levels of education and signed a cooperation agreement in the field of Vocational Education and Training.
The agreement provides for promotion of mutual recognition of diplomas, exchange of good practices and students, launching of joint action plans and research activities, as well as formation of a Joint Working Group for the implementation, supervision and evaluation of the Agreement” said Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
