What he said about fan violence, the Ghazi shooting, the immigration bill and the cohabitation agreement
After all the matter ND MP Dora Bakoyannis spoke in the show “Mismatches” on SKAI starting with the sad incidents in the police, with the serious injury of the policeman by fans in the incidents in Rentis and the death of the 29-year-old in a pursuit at dawn in Aspropyrgos.
Mrs. Bakoyannis expressed her dismay at the death of the 28-year-old policeman, while regarding the incident in Gazi she said that organized crime takes on different dimensions.
Regarding fan violence, he emphasized that the government is determined to take tough measures. “These are not fans but hardened criminals” he said and added that “for many years we have turned a blind eye, and they are covered behind the fan’s shirt. Mitsotakis knows that this case will take time, he is not a prime minister who has illusions”.
For the amendment concerning the immigrant residence permit, volpointed out that the Samara law on immigrants is in full force. “Since the Samara law was passed, 80,000 people have received residence papers with a condition of seven years. Today we impose three years with stricter criteria, as we want a clean criminal record and a work contract” he said and added “It is better for someone to sit in Greece for 7 years without us knowing where they are or where they work”.
In Chania, as he said, there is a shortage of workers. “We had a large number of immigrants who went to Italy because they got papers in two years. Greeks want to work in other jobs, with a better salary,” he said among other things.
Regarding the reaction of Antonis Samaras, Dora Bakoyannis asserted that there is no vendetta “what is heard is nonsense. I just disagree with Samaras. I don’t understand why there are interventions before there are discussions in Greek-Turkish. Why is he reacting to the issue of immigrants when he knows that it is his own law and the only thing that changes is that they get a residence permit, there are no Greekizations, he added.
For the marriage of same-sex couples reiterated that children should have equal rights. “Injustice to children should not exist” he concluded.
