The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, with his intervention in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, denounced the government for the amendment with which it changes the management of the company Anaplasi SA that deals with projects in the Municipality of Athens, thus excluding the new mayor of Athens , Haris Doukas, as well as the representative of the Municipality and called on the government to withdraw it.

Mr. Androulakis argued that this is a shameful and offensive amendment which is a sample of the government’s attitude towards the local government and constitutes disrespect to the recent popular verdict of the Athenian citizens.

As the president of PASOK-KINAL said, in February 2020, a few weeks after Kostas Bakoyannis had taken over, the government, through legislative intervention, made him president of Anaplasis SA with the authority to appoint the managing director and the board of directors, and now with the new amendment, he revokes them because Mr. Bakoyannis lost the election.

“This is the downfall of the government because the prime minister’s nephew was defeated. Respect the verdict of the people. Since Haris Doukas does not have a “barba in Koroni” and Maximou, proceed with the amendment”, Mr. Androulakis said, among other things, and emphasized: “Why; Are you afraid of it? The commitment of Mr. Doukas that there will be an administrative audit of the company Anaplasi SA”?

Nikos Androulakis added that he did not expect this particular amendment to make the government’s position clear, recalling that its ministers from the pre-election period of the self-governing elections had declared that ND candidates should be elected to cooperate with the government.

An intense dialogue and confrontation with the Minister of State Makis Voridis followed. As Mr. Voridis said, Mr. Androulakis “was brave in his intervention” and “attributed expediency to the government”. “You would have a basis for this argument if it did not change the scope of the company,” the minister of state said and added: “A legislative initiative for all renewals was presented to the cabinet in March 2022 which provided for the company to become a vehicle for renewals throughout the country. And today comes what changes: In the entire territory the company’s action”.

In his reply, Nikos Androulakis underlined that the government’s action disrespects the Local Government and KEDE and countered that now 45 million euros worth of projects are being carried out in the Municipality of Athens. He generally connected the government’s initiative with the interventions at the Anti-Terrorism Commission for wiretapping and the “shield to Mr. Karamanlis”, as he noted and underlined: “Your goal is to maintain your customer networks. You want everything yours.”

Makis Voridis countered that if the issue is the participation of the mayor of Athens or a member of KEDE in the Board. of the company can be considered. “In the next bill, the amendment will be discussed and the ministers will take it into account,” he noted.
