In ND they estimate that political conclusions will be drawn in the European elections – All pre-election effort and campaign will be aimed at maintaining and confirming political supremacy

2023 may have been marked by the consecutive electoral contests in the country, both nationally and locally, with the self-governing elections of last October, but 2024 will also be an election year. Year European electionswith all the challenges and the domestic and European climate that this implies.
The dilemma of the Eurocalp, in fact, was already raised, early, by the Prime Minister himself, during his New Year’s message, in which, among other things, he focused on the June election, speaking of turning the European elections “into a step to confirm political stability and progress. And strengthening a profound European policy, which has proven to bring resources and radiance to the country. Because we are Europe and we deserve to be Europe at all levels” said emphatically Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“Our strategic goal is multidimensional modernization” characteristically noted Prime Minister, pointing out that “I am well aware that we have to deal with entrenched pathologies and with the bureaucracy’s entanglement. With inactivity and guild fraternity”. He spoke of “a rapid wave of changes. Which will certainly upset some, but will ultimately favor many”.
As it was announced before the elections, but also with the assumption of the duties of the second government term of the ND, in Maximos Palace they focus on the promotion and implementation of multi-level reforms in the state, with government officials throwing down the gauntlet to the opposition, noting that “the truly progressive and modernizer will be seen in action and not in words.” In this light and with the reforms being the main “paper” of the pre-election debate ahead of the European elections, on the way to the ballot box in June, the need for the continuation of government policy and changes is expected to be raised more and more densely and emphatically which brings about in critical sectors of the state, clashing with decades-old pathologies. Stability will be the “key” word that will dynamically enter the pre-election vocabulary of ND executives, emphasizing at the same time that its continuation depends on the continuity of the policies of the blue faction.
In Piraeus they are well aware that political conclusions will be drawn from the European elections and that all pre-election effort and campaigning will be aimed at maintaining and confirming its political supremacy SWmaintaining the clear lead it had registered in the national elections and is still expressed by double-digit percentages in all polls conducted to date.
In any case, the big bet for the government, where it is expected to continue to give the greatest weight, is the management of issues that touch everyday life and affect all citizens, with accuracy remaining a bigger thorn. In this context, government officials assure that the intensification of market controls will continue, until the last distortion and illegality is eliminated, while the focus of relief policies will remain on the most vulnerable as long as necessary.
After the Lights, the first one is expected to take place Cabinet of the new year, during which the prime minister will outline the next governmental steps at the legislative level, but also give a new stamp to the election year that has just dawned.
