The need for a European solution to migration flows the prime minister pointed out on Monday, Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his greeting at the themed event “European solutions to the common challenge of immigration” organized by the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
“It is not by chance that today already at the beginning of 2024, we are in the Ministry of Immigration and Asylumand in fact with the presence of the Vice-President of the European Commission Margaritis Schina and the Commissioner Ylva Johansson, so that to discuss in an open, public consultation the European responses to the great challenge of the migration problem” noted the prime minister as reported by ERT.
“This is a burning issue, the management of which will largely determine the very credibility of the European Union, and finally the same course of the European idea. Thus, as a quintessentially European challenge, the migratory flows to our European continent also require a European solution, which above all means cooperation, joint action of the member states in the face of a common problem,” he said characteristically.
