Firm in his decision not to vote for the government bill for same-sex couples is the former minister and MP of the ND Thanos Pleuris as he pointed out to SKAI and the show Today.

The prime minister will set the framework and the arguments will develop. I also disagree about marriage, so I don’t expect what more or less (the bill) might have. Let the prime minister be appointed and I will be appointed on that, said Mr. Pleuris.

This is an issue related to matters of conscience, not related to policy-making, and my disagreement is expressed by not supporting it, I will not vote for it, clarified the ND deputy.

“I disagree with any intervention in family law and thus also in the change of family form, even if there was no adoption. These issues have been resolved with a cohabitation agreement in simple forms.”

According to Mr. Pleuris, the proposed law submitted by SYRIZA says: marriage, adoption, abolition of the terms man – woman in the context of our law, choice of parent 1 and parent 2 (father – mother by choice “Parent I” and “Parent II”). That is, it says in the civil code not to use gender, and medically assisted reproduction (surrogate mother).

The provision as brought by SYRIZA does not exist in any EU country. It wants to make the woman a child-producing machine to satisfy the “ego” of some to have children, he added.
