Her agenda of Greek-Turkish relations by horizon holding a meeting with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara in the spring diplomatic sources announced earlier today.

On February 2nd the visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Costas Fragogiannis, to Istanbul is expected. As part of the visit emphasis will be placed on stimulating the positive agenda. Simultaneously Greek business delegation will travel to Istanbul to participate in a business forum with Turkish businessmen and extroversion agencies and further promote economic cooperation.

On March 11 a meeting on the political dialogue between Greece and Turkey is expected to take placewith the Greek side headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Aktsapar, ahead of the Mitsotakis-Erdogan meeting expected to be scheduled for April or May.

The meeting of the two leaders in the context of the NATO summit in Washington in July will also be pivotal.

Regarding the next contacts of the foreign minister Giorgos Gerapetritis, on February 6 he will have a meeting with the special UN envoy for Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar.

On February 9 Mr. Gerapetritis will be in Washington, where he will meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The two ministers will inaugurate the Greece-US strategic dialogue.

Afterwards, Mr. Gerapetritis will be in New York to carry out contacts promoting Greece’s candidacy to the UN Security Council.
