“The measures taken by the government as a whole are aimed at improving the real incomes of our fellow citizens,” the Minister of Health told SKAI and the program “Morning” with Giorgos Autias Adonis Georgiades.

Regarding the minimum wage, Mr. Georgiadis argued that “I have no doubt that our intention for a minimum wage of 950 euros at the end of the four years will have been exceeded”, as he said, “the speed of the rise of the Greek economy shows this. Greece has earned a good reputation in all major international markets. And in 2024 we will have a very positive surprise for the Greek economy”.

“In a Europe which is in great political upheaval, Greece seems like an oasis of stability. Thanks to Kyriakos Mitsotakis”, he added.

Regarding the maternity allowance, the Minister of Health emphasized that “this regulation is a real exercise of demographic policy. Greece’s number one issue is demographics. By granting the maternity allowance to self-employed professionals and farmers, it is a legacy that I leave behind at the Ministry of Labor as a true exercise of demographic policy.”

On the occasion of the farmers’ mobilizations, Mr. Georgiadis stated “this government, not in words but in action, shows its sensitivity and care for the agricultural world because we believe in the need for Greece to have a primary sector”.

“I want to tell my farmer friends not to close the roads. To make their mobilizations, to protest but not to block the streets. The closure of the roads causes great damage to the Greek economy”, he added.
