The bill of the Ministry of Education, entitled “Strengthening the Public University – Framework for the operation of non-profit branches of foreign universities” and its signing Kyriakou Pierrakakisis already posted for public consultation and, according to the ministry, positively addresses chronic pathologies of higher education in the country by strengthening the public university on the one hand and institutionalizing on the other, the possibility of foreign university institutions to establish branches in the country, under specific conditions conditions and the strictest quality criteria.

The Minister of Education Kyriakos Pierrakakis intervenes with his article, through APE-MBE, in the public consultation and highlights the “internationalization of higher education” as the dominant condition of the bill, which, according to the minister, “is at the heart of the strategy for the overall upgrading of education in Greece. The strategy dictated by the enormous potential we have and which serves the mandate we received from the citizens to create a modern, extroverted and dynamic Greece”.
