In a letter to SYRIZA MPs, Stefanos Kasselakis calls on them to vote for the marriage equality billspeaking of stand “of pride, dignity, of inclusion”.

It is reminded that the president of SYRIZA clarified yesterday that “there will be consequences” for anyone who does not vote for the bill.

The entire letter of Stefanos Kasselakis:

Today it is voted on a bill which is imperfect, but it takes our society a big step forward.

A bill that, without the coexistence pact of SYRIZA and without our struggles for visibility, would never have come.
Think of all your fellow human beings who are personally affected by this bill as your brothers, as your children. They have – we have – a right. We are citizens. We are an equal part of Greek society.

The vote against is for the extreme right wing of the ND.
Abstinence is for the Borides of this place.
A moral and value abyss separates us from them.
I invite you today in the Parliament to say a strong “yes” to pride, dignity, inclusion.
If not the SYRIZA of rights, then who?
If not us progressive people of this place, then who?
