A topical question to the Minister of Foreign Affairs about “the government’s delay, which has been going on for four years, harmful to the interests of the country, to ratify, as it has the obligation from the Prespa agreement, the three memoranda of cooperation with North Macedonia”, the MP testified of SYRIZA-PS, Rena Douro.

The main opposition member of parliament emphasizes that the government “does not control and monitor the implementation of the Prespa Agreement as it should. Among other things, it has not ensured the change of school books in North Macedonia as agreed at the bilateral level since June 2019, but also the observance of the timetables for the change of travel documents and car plates until February 12, 2024.

The Head of Foreign Affairs of SYRIZA-PS calls on Mr. Gerapetritis “to answer when the 3 memoranda of cooperation with North Macedonia will be introduced to the relevant Committee of the Parliament and then to the Plenary for ratification, as our country is obliged by the Prespa Agreement . And what actions will the Government take if the deadlines of the Prespa Agreement are not met by the neighboring country, bearing in mind that the observance of the Prespa Agreement is a European criterion for the progress of North Macedonia’s accession process?”
