Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama paid an official visit to Ankara, who was received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the visit, a military cooperation agreement was signed between the two countries, as reported by Manolis Kostidis from Istanbul.

“The agreement we signed is the proof of our will” said the Turkish president, a sign of the willingness to further advance bilateral relations.

Reports indicate that they have been agreed sales of unmanned aerial vehicles and armored military vehicles.

Erdogan said: “Turkey has investments in Albania reaching 3.5 billion dollars, making it among the top five foreign investors. Six hundred Turkish companies employ 15,000 Albanian citizens and thus contribute to the country’s economy.

We have a desire to deepen our cooperation in the field of defense industry as well as in the field of defense. The ‘military framework’ agreement we signed a while ago is the tangible proof of this will.”

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said: “We hope that the project of the operation of the branch of the Polytechnic of Istanbul in Tirana will proceed quickly. This will bring the excellence of Turkey to Albania, it is an important university. It is recognized all over the world and will give the opportunity to many young people from Albania and the countries of the region to study here. There has been cooperation in the field of defense and security, and we will develop this cooperation further.”

Erdogan-Rama dialogue: “But what are we going to do now?” How come you don’t catch a cold?’

Erdogan: What are we going to do? But isn’t it cold? Sambri! Sambri! But isn’t it cold?

Rama: Both of us are comfortable

Erdogan: Well then, let me take off my scarf too!
