The party’s MP, Christos Giannoulis, spoke about the next day to SYRIZA on the SIMERA program of SKAI on Monday morning.

“Stefanos Kasselakis did not receive a blank check, no one receives a blank check, what he asked for was not to be contested,” Mr. Giannoulis said a day after the party conference in Tae Kwon Do that ended at noon on Sunday.

“Even the most high-level clashes of trends or groups we have seen that the electorate and members can resolve,” he added.

“Stefanos Kasselakis cannot be a hostage president, he will be judged in the European elections, like all of us, a four-year term does not even exist in life,” he said characteristically

Mr. Giannoulis said that it is time for self-criticism while clarifying that “if the intra-party conflicts do not stop, I will be one of those who will do everything I can as a person and as a member of parliament to be on the sidelines of our interest, as I remind you that in two days it is the anniversary of Tempe, the opposition must have a specific position and attitude in order not to cover up this crime.”

Finally, regarding the intervention of the former prime minister and former president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras commented: “I would be remiss if I did not say that I respect, love and honor Alexis Tsipras, but in this particular case I cannot rationalize this decision. If there was no call for elections in his message, the rest of the intervention was our reality.”
