As the polls approach, in any election contest, each poll sends its own messages, which in some cases are very clear. In Pulse research on behalf of SKAI the “signals” of the respondents in relation to the “battle” for second place should not be ignored by Stefanos Kasselakis and Nikos Androulakis.

The parties emerging from the conventions, which are their top party process, show a picture of coming together. There is a unifying tendency, a spirit of consultation and conscription that usually gives them a good polling breath.

This did not happen to SYRIZA which the increase it registers is only of the order of half a unit. The fact that the shouts and noise inside the Tae Kwon Do gym went far beyond political boundaries did not give the official opposition the boost it would have liked, according to the Pulse investigation. While the party executives also showed that the division did not end with the last two splits and the departure of the left wing.

The picture is not good for Harilaou Trikoupi either. The breakdown in SYRIZA does not give strength to PASOK on the contrary, it takes away from him. Everything shows that some people – not a significant number – who had moved to the “green camp” or Perissos after the national elections are either returning to SYRIZA or moving towards the New Left, which also appears a little strengthened.

What is happening in PASOK? The image the party has put out in the bill on same-sex couples, as well as on non-state universities – which will be voted on on Friday – does not give off an aroma of unity. And the public of PASOK, after all, appears to be divided in what it wants in relation to universities, with the result that the party’s MPs are wavering despite the fact that they will follow the party line in favor of “no”.

The party of Nikos Androulakis seems unable to take advantage of the critical moments that SYRIZA is going through. The New Left, after its pan-Hellenic conference and the addition of Gavriel Sakellaridis, appears to be entering the game more dynamically for the claim of a seat in the European Parliament. Its executives appear optimistic for even better rates until June 9. SYRIZA and PASOK have few opportunities until the European elections to take advantage of a “silent wave” that exists in society for the need to form a strong opposition against the current majority.

With these data, the Pulse distribution scenario of undecideds shows SYRIZA and PASOK tied at 14%. New Democracy loses half a point (35.5%) and it is clear that after the marriage equality bill it is under a lot of pressure from the party of Kyriakos Velopoulos which rises by one point (8.5%). The KKE, which seems to have leaks, also shows a drop of 1% (9%). Followed by Spartans 3%, Victory 4%, Freedom Sailing 3%, New Left 3% and MeRA25 2.5%.
