The ranking of the SYRIZA State ballot shows a particular interest in whether the president of SYRIZA could face Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the Plenary in the next period

A new question has been hovering over Koumoundourou for the last few hours. Is Othonas Iliopoulos really thinking of leaving his seat in the Parliament in order to devote himself exclusively to his university and research duties at Harvard?
The distinguished professor of Oncology recently revealed in an interview with ATTICA TV that the amount of work he has undertaken is enormous and therefore this dilemma exists.
“My system is overstretched. I run a clinic, I run a laboratory, we have very big clinical successes lately, I work with the emigrants a lot, I try to be in the Parliament and I come and go. There is a workload, I think at some point it will inevitably raise the question of what I keep and what I leave, and as time goes on I somehow participate more in the executive functions within SYRIZA,” he said.
Speaking to ATTICA TV, Mr. Iliopoulos responded to the information that the Harvard University Hospital is reportedly asking for “strict sealing” between the two roles he holds, that of a professor and the representative of a party in the Greek parliament, published on Monday by SKAI : “Half say that I will resign because I have been forced by Kasselakis. Last scenario is that I will resign because my job will force me to. One thing I have to say is that no one has pressured me into my work, that even if I had been pressured, I personally make the decisions about what I will do and try to optimize the way in which I will represent the diaspora Hellenism”.
However, Voula Kehagia maintained the scenarios regarding his possible resignation, but also Stefanos Kasselakis entering the Parliament, through the answer she gave to TALK RADIO: “it is another discussion, parallel, that is, if the situation brings it this way and there is a resignation or something else which could launch a scenario of Mr. Kasselakis entering the Parliament”.
The issue seems to be open with the press representative adding that “from this, however, until we discuss that Mr. Kasselakis is looking for ways to enter the Parliament, there is a distance”.
Mr. Iliopoulos clarified in the interview he gave on Tuesday that the president of SYRIZA “never asked or pressured anyone to resign from the state parliamentarians”. Without any change in the attitude of Stefanos Kasselakis (who has stated that he wishes to be in society) or confirmation of such a thing by Koumoundourou, the ranking of the SYRIZA state ballot shows a particular interest in whether the president could of SYRIZA to face Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the Plenary in the next period.
Stefanos Kasselakis is in ninth place and in the event that the first place remains vacant, five runners-up will have to resign before him. For the current MPs Elena Akrita and Evangelos Apostolakis – who are close associates of the president – there will not be and there is no such discussion.
They are Popi Tsapanidou (he left with the resignation of Al. Tsipras), Michalis Kalogirou (a close associate of Alexis Tsipras today), Jeni Livadarou, Athanasios Tsakris and Georgetta Lalis. The scenario of Stefanos Kasselakis automatically taking the place of Othonas Iliopoulos as the next on the list of emigrants is said to be weak.
