Today, for the first time in the morning, the Organizing Committee of the 15th Congress of the party met at the party’s headquarters on Piraeus Street.
Under the chairmanship of the former president of New Democracy and member of parliament for Lasithi, Yiannis Plakiotakis, the Organizing Committee of the 15th Congress of the party met for the first time earlier in the morning at the party’s headquarters on Piraeus Street in the presence of the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Government Representative and former Secretary of the Political Committee Pavlos Marinakis, the Secretary of the Political Committee, MP B2 West Maria Syregela’s sector, the General Manager Yiannis Smyrlis, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Group, Member of Parliament A’ of Thessaloniki Stavros Kalafatis and the rest of its members, as stated by party sources. The subject of the meeting, as the same sources emphasize, was the Thessaloniki pre-conference, the thematic sections of the Conference, but also other organizational issues.
In the same announcement it is also stated that “on the way to the 15th Congress of New Democracy, which will take place from April 5 to 7 at Zappeio Megaro, a pre-conference is being organized in Thessaloniki on Monday, March 11, with the main speaker being the President of New Democracy and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The pre-conference proceedings will be held at the Vellideo Conference Center starting at 17:00.
Party sources state that the Speakers will be the President of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Yiannis Plakiotakis, the Secretary of the Political Committee of the ND Maria Syregela, the General Director of the ND Yiannis Smyrlis, the President of ONNED Orfeas Georgiou, the President of the Steering Committee of Thessaloniki Zisis Ioakeimovich, the President of DEEP A’ Thessaloniki Theodoros Mitrakas and the President of DEEP B’ Thessaloniki Thomas Vranos.
The President of ENPE, Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and the President of KEDE, Mayor of Ampelokipi-Menemeni, Lazaros Kyrizoglou, will address a greeting, while in a separate section of the pre-conference, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the New Democracy this year, the acting Presidents of the Steering Committee of Thessaloniki will address a greeting.
