“If we had pushed to the south, there would be no more south and north,” said Tayyip Erdogan
His delirium Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, who more or less wished in 1974 that the Turkish troops had… “finished the job” and taken over the whole of Cyprus.
“If we had pushed a little harder in 1974, we would have taken all of Cyprus,” Erdogan told Turkish officers, as reported by Manolis Kostidis.
“It’s a statement which we have never heard before by the Turkish president since 2002 when he rules Turkey, but also by another Turkish official, at least publicly” commented the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul.
“Half a century ago, the Turkish Cypriots came back from the brink of genocide. In the “peace operation” of 1974, 498 of our soldiers from all corners of our country, officers, non-commissioned officers and privates, were martyred. Despite all the pressures, if it were not for Turkey’s intervention, neither the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus nor the Turkish Cypriots would exist today. In fact, perhaps if we had pushed south, that there would be no more south and north and that Cyprus would be completely ours” Erdogan said defiantly in an unprecedented display of grandiosity.
Erdogan promised the Turkish military a second aircraft carrier and unmanned submarines. “Turkey has many enemies and must be ready for any eventuality” he further asserted.
