Pavlos Marinakis, responding to a question asked during the editors’ briefing about whether Kostas Ah. Karamanlis will follow the example of Christos Spirtzis by asking for the activation of article 86 par. 5 of the Constitution. He replied: “Mr. Spirtzis is aware of the depreciation procedure, he knows that it cannot lead to criminal consequences”, essentially admitting that the deputy of Serres of the New Democracy will not make a similar move, because he is afraid that he may go to criminal proceedings, commented sources of SYRIZA-PS.

“However, let us inform him that in the provision of the Constitution invoked by Mr. Spirtzis, there is also the provision of the statute of limitations and the formation of a committee despite the statute of limitations.
