The proposal of the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, regarding placement international observers in national and European elections, the director of the parliamentary group of the party, Giorgos Tsipras, was asked to comment on the show “Today” on SKAI.

“There are three serious events that this regime needs” he pointed out characteristically and added that “one concerns the wiretapping, the other is the scandal of Mrs. Asimakopoulou, as we had a leak with the lists of European voters and the third is the resolution of the European Parliament, which for the first time post-politically raises the issue of the rule of law in Greece”.

To the question, if there is any fear of fraud G. Tsipras replied that “there is an institutional lack of trust and that is why the proposal about observers” while he brought as an example “the emails of voters abroad”, emphasizing indicatively “what trust is there anymore when lists that also concern personal data are left data”.

Regarding the practical issue of the said proposal, Mr. Tsipras stated that SYRIZA will submit a request to the European institutions so that observers are placed in the national elections.

Regarding the motion of no confidence tabled by PASOK, he noted that SYRIZA will sign it.
