The president of Niki, Dimitris Natsios, strongly criticized the government, which he attributed to inadequacy, during his intervention in the Parliament this evening during the debate on the motion of no confidence, while he accused Costas Karamanlis of covering up the responsibility for the tragic accident in Tempos.

“We used to say the state doesn’t exist, the state is disorganized, the state is trying and can’t. Once the society was reeling with the supposed humble apologies, empty promises, crocodile tears and apparent exhaustion of the government.

The killing of 57 souls in Tempe is a tragic accident due to human error, not a crime. The cover-up of this murderous crime by Mr. Karamanlis, not the confession of the truth by the leader of the political party that “broke the nerves” of the Speaker of the Parliament, is an abomination. The President was disturbed by Mrs. Konstantopoulou and not by the government’s desperate and completely inappropriate attempt to convince us that the justice and not the governing majority really decided. The floods in Thessaly, the fires all over Greece are unpredictable climate change not a lack of any kind of infrastructure. The struggle for human life is limited to gay marriage and the predominance of procreation over adoption. Not a word about the hunger, disease and economic impoverishment that you yourselves bring to our fellow citizens” said Mr. Natsios and continued addressing the government seats: “What qualifications do you have to be able to rule this society? What do you have to offer the citizen of this country, the family man, his child, the young student, the worker, the everyday fighter? You are speaking in front of this world, Mr. Ministers, Mr. fellow Members of Parliament. Against this society you stand.

The word “minister” means servant and helper from the compounds under and work. And the word prime minister means the first assistant and servant, from the composites first and minister. This is your qualification, which is universally considered a function and not a profession. How exactly do you serve it? What work do you do and what society do you work for? A government, any authority that does not listen to the pulse of its people and tries furiously to throw its foundations is doomed to failure. A society without principles, a society that questions everything and has no point of reference has no future, and you are such a society that you are struggling to build.

It is not a matter of ideology and philosophy, the problems of the country right now are so vital that no one can negotiate or argue with the solution that is required.

If you really cared about the society you claim to represent and protect you wouldn’t have your own personal and selfish agenda. Nor would you implement the strategy you implement. You took bread from the world, give it crumbs and talk about progress. Tragic coincidence that this is not an element of democracy, nor of the right, nor of the left, nor of globalization. Therefore, the ideological battle that you are fighting by defining sin, love, life and freedom as the ultimate goal has the predominance of your purely personal interests” said the president of Niki and concluded: “Society has suffered all kinds of impoverishment and we see the consequences of this day by day. Violence is on the rise, our children are lashing out, crimes are rampant, society is being torn apart by the smallest detail. Every day marches and protests, the world is outraged and even Europe recognizes it but you don’t listen. How to listen, gentlemen, when all you can hear are the wheels of your chair?

Where should Mr. Karamanlis, who has been so clouded by his unjustified arrogance and arrogance, listen? Which we still have to understand where it comes from. Certainly not from his non-existent body of work, unless he really wanted to go down in history as a felony incompetent. Literally a felony being responsible for the death of 57 people. Fortunately he did not hide and a month after his resignation he submitted his candidacy again. So honest that while arguing for railroad safety, he agreed to testify before the commission of inquiry in which his party held a majority. Fortunately, the interrogation was sufficient and strict and Mr. Karamanlis answered all our questions. It’s good again that his colleagues do not protect him and do not hide him and consciously voted against the establishment of a preliminary investigation committee. He is aware of the applause, handshakes and congratulations after his graphic rants about understanding and pain over the tragedy. Just as Mr. Karamanlis consciously avoided looking anywhere else than his ardent supporters. Perhaps, this is another proof of his guilt.”
