What the legislation provides for voter information
According to the law, the electoral rolls – with the names and residential address of the voters – is public data and every candidate in the elections can have access to them and to send electoral materials to the voters’ homes.
The data is given to the candidates depending on the case – for example, a candidate for mayor or councilor can get the electoral rolls of the voters in his Municipality.
Accordingly, the MEP may have access to the territory’s electoral rolls.
Voters’ details, however, do not include their phone numbers and emails.
