The prime minister returns to pre-election pace again from today, after the completion of the emergency Summit. With the final destination of the polls on June 9 and with the aim of visiting as many parts of the country as possible by then, Kyriakos Mitsotakis fifty-two days before the European elections comes forward determined to communicate and broadcast the ND’s messages about the criticality and importance of the Eurocalp, which clearly also has national characteristics.

The station on the pre-election map for today is Lesbos, which Kyriakos Mitsotakis is visiting at a time when, in addition to internal interest, the visit also has a symbolic character. It is being held at a time when the revival of Ankara’s provocation regarding marine parks in the Ionian and Aegean brought back to the fore, the Greek government’s repeated unwavering and steadfast position on the country’s non-negotiable sovereign rights and the presence of the prime minister on the island of Anatolik of the Aegean, strengthens this position even more. At the same time, however, the tour of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Lesvos brings back the pre-election tactics that were followed in the national elections as well, with the known results, which are the prime minister’s direct and unmediated contact with the citizens and the promotion of government commitments that are now being made actions. In this context, in the morning, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will tour Mytilini and then attend and speak at an event for the delivery of another development project in the region, and in particular the Kalloni – Sigri road axis. Another project that reinforces the commitment of the prime minister and the government that the second government term of the ND that the country is already going through will be identified with the maturation and delivery of more and more infrastructure projects, to the citizens, always with the aim of improving everyday life. At noon, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will go to Kalloni, where he will visit the West Lesvos Town Hall and have a meeting with citizens. Afterwards, the Prime Minister will visit the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest, in Sigri.

The main message in this tour is one and clear to the citizens: the need for stability in the country. The stronger the ND emerges from the polls on June 9, the more stable the country will be and the faster and bolder it will be able to continue the big changes it has launched in the country, it is expected to deliver from the unspoiled island. And to the lesbian citizens, the prime minister is expected to ask them not to allow any dissatisfaction that may have jeopardized the stable and developmental course of the country, listening to the “sirens” of the opposition.

At the same time, the tours of the Prime Minister and of all government officials, in the Eastern Aegean and in Northern Greece, which will intensify in the next period, also aim at reversing a climate that is reflected in many measurements and is related to the leaks that are reflected towards the parties to the right of the SW. This pre-election plan envisages that more than half of the excursions Kyriakos Mitsotakis will make will take place in the prefectures where especially Kyriakos Velopoulos’ Greek Solution creates electoral trends. But at the same time, the weight will also be given to critical areas, strengthening the “patriotic” profile, as another antidote to attract the undecided and those voters who “flirt” with the protest vote, as they face the ballot box of the European elections more “relaxed” .

After all, the participation in the European elections and the reduction of abstention is a challenge and a bet for the government, while a battle must also be fought for the so-called “relaxed vote”. In this context, the advice to the citizens is expected to be that they should take the elections very seriously, as the result of the Eurocalp has a de facto impact on the internal political situation of the country.
