The atmosphere was electrified at today’s meeting of the social affairs committee of the Parliament, due to the attack received yesterday in a church in Kavala by the member of the ND Angeliki Delikari from a parliamentary candidate of the NIKI party.

The occasion was a reference to the incident by the MP of Niki, Nikos Papadopoulos, who commented from the floor of the Senate hall that faithful Christians have begun to “distribute cufflinks” in churches, warning that “we will see worse with what you are doing”.

“We gave children and rights, procreation as you call it to LGBTQI people, the only thing that is certain is that you are dividing the Greek people and if you turn to the news, you will see the mess you are creating”, the MP initially pointed out, provoking the reaction of his colleagues.

N. Papadopoulos: “We have also seen believers in the church start handing out cufflinks, concentrate, we will see even worse with what you are doing”
S. Zaharakis: “Do you condemn this?”
N. Papadopoulos: “Of course we condemn it, we condemn violence, but who causes violence?”
M. HEADS: “Your executives.”

The MP persisted saying that what the government is doing is crazy and that “the ND will suffer annihilation with these things, its disguises, because it put on the sheep of the patriot and the Christian. You dare to go to churches and you are mocked and you still go. Don’t you understand that you went 100% against the Bible?”
A new tension was immediately caused with the president asking for the tones to drop and Maria Soukouli of the ND, shouting “Are you listening to what you are saying? Shame! Revoke now.”

N. Papadopoulos: “Shame is all yours. Don’t hit my hand, lady! Calm down my lady. I hear what I’m saying, you don’t understand what you’re doing! Wake up the people woke up”
M. Soukoulis: Recall now!
N. Papadopoulos: “The ancients said they do not legislate against nature and the orthodox Christians that they do not legislate against God’s law, you do!”
