Petsas: Increased funding and development projects upgrade Spetses

The Spetses visited this morning by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Stelios Petsas, accompanied by the MP of A ‘Piraeus of ND, Noni Dounia. He visited the City Hall and the Municipal Port Fund of Spetses, where he participated in a meeting with the mayor Panagiotis Lyrakis, deputy mayors and representatives of the municipal parties.

During the visit, the developmentally and institutional issues of Spetses, with emphasis on:

Joining “Antonis Tritsis” Program of Ministry of Interior -in addition to the water supply that is already being implemented (amounting to 3.4 million euros) – the studies for the bioclimatic upgrade of the common areas and the renovation in Clock Square (amounting to 619,000 euros) which were evaluated positively by the Evaluation Committee, as well as the rest proposals of the municipal authority for the digital transformation and the electric movement, within the next two months.

The inclusion of Spetses in the category of small island and mountainous municipalities, which endows the Municipality with an additional 249,500 euros, every year. The reconstruction of the traditional pebble in Dapia with extraordinary funding of 200,000 euros, due to the decline due to the weather in various parts.

Mr. Petsas, in his statements, stressed to him: “It is good to discuss all issues, but not to constantly discuss the same issues. The aim is for some of them to move forward, or be resolved, to improve the lives of citizens and visitors. And with today’s announcements we implement development projects, we strengthen the social face of the Local Government and we highlight landmarks of Spetses, for the benefit of the daily life of the citizens.
