The current Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ambassador Burak Akshaparis taking over as his country’s permanent representative to the UN Office in Geneva, according to Turkish state broadcaster TRT.

Burak Aksapar has until now been the responsible deputy minister of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs who has the political responsibility for all three main chapters of Greek-Turkish relations, namely the positive agenda, political dialogue and Confidence Building Measures.

On Friday he had met in Istanbul with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Costas Fragogiannisfor talks on the positive agenda, on March 11 the political dialogue was held in Ankara with the head of the Greek mission being the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou, while last week Burak Aksapar participated in the Turkish delegation that was at the Ministry of National Defense in Athens for the MOEs.

With the same decision of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidanthe current head of the Directorate of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Middle East and North Africa, Jan Dizdaris appointed ambassador to Ottawa.

The Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Guven Begets, takes over as Ambassador in Tripoli, and the Deputy Director General for Iraq, Ambassador Anil Bora Inan, is appointed Ambassador in Baghdad.
