Regarding the phrase of Mr. Kasselakis that “ministers kill children”, Mr. Spiliotopoulos said that it is a phrase that “in a verbal speech you say it for negligence or even positively. Haven’t you heard young kids say ‘this ice cream kills’?’
He spoke about his collaboration with SYRIZA and Stefanos Kasselakis on the morning show of SKAI “Today” Aris Spiliotopoulos.
As Mr. Spiliotopoulos mentioned, he has “distanced himself from the ND both politically and mentally” and added that “the middle ground is not in the ND in its current form”.
“The middle ground is moving. Development is not distributed fairly and equally. A large part of the middle class is constantly impoverished and a very small part has gone up” said Mr. Spiliotopoulos.
Regarding Mr. Kasselakis, Mr. Spiliotopoulos stated that “first time a political leader operates unconventionally and it says in a transparent way that this is my life.”
“He has nothing to hide. Mr. Kasselakis operates in a clear and crystal-clear manner” he pointed out and underlined that “transparency is alienating”.
“Mr. Kasselakis has a big bet, to gradually express the entire wider progressive space” underlined Mr. Spiliotopoulos.
Regarding Mr. Kasselakis’ statement that “ministers kill children”, Mr. Spiliotopoulos said that “there is no toxicity” in the statements of the SYRIZA president and that “they have been deliberately misinterpreted to create a toxic attack from the other side”.
“Kills” is a phrase you say in a spoken word about negligence or positively. Haven’t you heard young kids say ‘this ice cream kills’?” he said characteristically.
“Mr. Kasselakis puts in the political debate something that is a political demand, that impunity cannot be perpetuated” explained Mr. Spilotopoulos, saying that Mr. Kasselakis meant by this phrase the “negligences that created the tragedy in Tempi”.
Finally, he mentioned his candidacy Fred Beleris in the European elections saying that this “signals a completely opportunistic need of the ND to close the leaks to the extreme right”.
