The government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, spoke on Friday morning about the recent expressions that were heard through the mouth of the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, and which have caused strong reactions, to be precise, but also about the visits of Mitsotakis – Erdogan to Ankara and Edi Rama to Athens on the SKAI “Today” show.

The government representative characterized “creepy” the statement of Mr. Kasselakis that “ministers are killing children” and “sad” the way he said he went to justify himself through a new communication expert, referring to Mr. Spiliotopoulos.

About the meeting between Mitsotakis and Erdogan

Referring to the meeting they will have next Monday in Ankara, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Tayyip Erdogan argued that the government believes in dialogue in contrast to the opposition parties who, as he said, either do not say anything, or ask that the meeting not take place.

In addition, he stated that the Greek government “he has never given up on the sovereign rights of the country, he has never hidden and at every opportunity he promotes the Greek positions and always wins something and gains in credibility”.

For Rama’s visit to Athens

Finally, when asked about the visit of the prime minister of Albania, Eddie Rama in Athens, Mr. Marinakis pointed out that this was the casei for one “private visit” and how the government will ensure that all security measures are in place.

He also claimed that “It is not our job to interpret the purpose of Edi Rama’s visit, it is our job to show our respect for the rule of law by our actions.”

“Greece is not afraid, if there is any reason we will respond” the government spokesman concluded.
