The prime minister and all ND executives are back at pre-election pace and speeding up, counting down the 25 days that remain until the polls for the European elections on June 9. After Thrace, where he toured Komotini and Alexandroupoli yesterday, just one day after his meeting with Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Kyriakos Mitsotakis has planned together with his Ministers and all party officials to “plough” the country in view of the elections, with the aim in the remaining time to be “present” and to broadcast the messages and electoral dilemmas of the ND in all the regions of the country that are involved in “stability and progress or new adventures”, putting SYRIZA in front of him but also all the opposition parties, which according to ND choose mud and populism instead of a serious proposal for the next day of the country.

The next planned stop on the Prime Minister’s tours for tomorrow Thursday is Macedonia and in particular Pella, Imathia and Pieria. Areas on which Piraeus and Megaro Maximos focus with attention and strategy, as during the previous national elections, there was an increase in the parties positioned to the right of the ND. In Pieria, the party of Dimitris Natsios, “Niki” had gathered its largest percentage at 9.26%, while in total the “right-wing” parties of the ND had gathered a percentage that reached 21.82%. The parties in question, Hellenic Solution, Niki, Spartans, which will not participate in the upcoming European elections following a decision by the Supreme Court, had recorded high percentages in Pella as well, reaching a total of 20%. Trends that are estimated to still exist in the disputed areas and therefore increase the pressure and interest of the ND to reverse the climate and win this “bet”.

The top bet of this ballot box, as stated by the prime minister himself and all blue-collar executives, is the participation of voters in the ballot box and the reduction of abstention. The central message that is being broadcast is political stability and the continuation of reforms. “Political stability is the stake of the elections and it will be proven that nothing has changed since the trust that the citizens showed us in 2023” recently emphasized Kyriakos Mitsotakis, underlining that “The second four-year term is the period of great changes, which will still bring bring Greece closer to Europe’s orbit”. Equally important is the European stake projected by the blue faction regarding the important decisions that affect the lives of citizens, from the Recovery Fund and the Common Agricultural Policy to Immigration and defense policy, Greece needs a strong team, which will represent it in the European Parliament, and this has proven that ND can do it, is repeated throughout the pre-election battle that top and local party officials across Greece are fighting together.

The utilization of European funds by the government that have a direct impact on the daily lives of citizens is high on the agenda and argumentation of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as are the interventions made in the health and care sector. These government priorities will be at the center of today’s presentation of the prime minister at the conference “ygeiamou 2024 – The Health System and the Challenges of the Future”, at the Athens Conservatory.
