Response to Koumoundourou’s announcement regarding feta
With a sharp post on social media, the government representative responded, Pavlos Marinakisto SYRIZA regarding the document that the prime minister had earlier submitted to the Parliament about her honors slice and other products.
“On the issue of feta, before issuing a statement to SYRIZA, they did not even bother to read the document submitted by the Prime Minister to the Parliament. If they did, they would realize that he compared the prices between the same quantities in Greece and in other European countries”, commented Mr. Marinakis, to add:
“Indeed, the most impressive thing is that in the images they provided in today’s announcement, there are codes with even lower prices per kilo (9.88 euros per kilo) than the price reported for Greece.”
“In SYRIZA, in addition to being failed oil merchants, they are also proving to be failed cheese merchants and, instead of a serious opposition, they remain firmly political snake merchants,” he concludes.
SYRIZA: Mr. Mitsotakis meant that the solution for a cheaper slice is less slice
It was preceded by an announcement by SYRIZA against the prime minister for his speech earlier in Parliament, where he stated that “it took us a while to realize what Kyriakos Mitsotakis meant when he argued that a slice of feta currently costs 6.28 euros in Greece”.
“At first we looked to see if we could find this particular slice that is sold at, we have to admit, this very good price. Unfortunately, we did not succeed”, he notes and concludes:
“But in the end we probably understood what he meant. Just as Kostas Skrekas informed consumers at Easter that the solution for cheaper lamb is the smaller lamb, apparently Mr. Mitsotakis also meant that the solution for cheaper feta is less feta. Because we really found half a kilo at this great price.”
