What did he say about the mention of the “Blue Homeland” in Turkish textbooks?
On his TV and in the show “Today” hosted the president of the “Democrats”, Andreas Loverdoswho gave an in-depth interview to Dimitris Oikonomou and Akis Pavlopoulos.
First, you are invited to comment on them Greek-Turkish and the recent development where there is talk of a “Blue Homeland” in the school books of the neighboring country, Mr. Loverdos pointed out that after the elections the issue with Turkey “we have to look at it again”.
“I don’t believe in the theory of “win-win”, always for someone to win means someone else to lose. Real lost yesterday, Panathinaikos won. There are no such easy “win-wins” in international relations. A little with the cultural, with the mosques, Hagia Sophia, the Monastery of Chora, a little now with the Blue Motherland in the schools… all this entails risks”.
“Our ballot consists mainly of New Democrats and Pasoks”
Regarding the European electionshe claimed that he was experiencing a “rebaptism” from the people, who appreciate the “seriousness that they see in my face”, while he also referred to the ballot of the “Democrats”, which is aimed at the political center and consists essentially of persons coming from New Democracy and PASOK.
“A significant percentage of us are from people who come to protest. And for Mr. Androulakis who they consider insufficient and of course for Mr. Mitsotakis. They estimate that the prime minister is showing arrogance, without looking at the issues of everyday life. There is “Mitsotakis precision”. The government is unfortunately supported by the cartels and does everything for the banks”, argued Mr. Loverdos.
