The political responsibility for the leak of voters’ personal data clearly rests with the ND, its executives, and Mr. Mitsotakis, emphasizes Mr. Famellos – Reply to the government representative
The president of the SYRIZA-PS parliamentary group, Sokratis Famellos, blames the minister of the interior for the leakage of citizens’ personal data in a statement, responding to the statements of the government representative.
After reviewing the development of the case, Mr. Famellos argues that “highlights the responsibility of Mrs. Kerameos as well, no matter how much the government tries to ‘hide’ it“.
He then explains: “The evidence speaks for itself. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs failed to do its job and secure the personal data of voters in violation of the General Data Protection Regulation and officials of the ruling party forwarded and edited the file with the personal data“.
He further argues that “Questions about who leaked the file, how many were the recipients within the ND, and who else was aware of the illegal trafficking, remain to be revealed. The question remains as to who or who from the ND will pay the fine of 400,000 euros of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since it cannot be tolerated that the Greek taxpayers pay it. The political responsibility for the leakage of the personal data of voters abroad clearly rests with the ND and its executives, and obviously with Mr. Mitsotakis himself. Try as they might, they cannot make white black“.
