“New Democracy has a slogan “Vote for New Democracy to get closer to Europe”. But in all indicators of well-being and productivity we are moving away from the average European average”, said Mr president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, from the Serres.
Mr. Androulakis noted that the fear of the worst should not be the driving force behind the choice of voters. “I call on the citizens not to choose with a compass the fear of the worst, because they are sure that much worse will come. To choose with a compass the hope for the best. And here is the time for the democratic faction with its new political staff, with the modern European social democratic program, with its political ethos, to rebuild a Greece of dignity, hope and perspective for all Greeks, because we deserve it and we can more”, he emphasized.
THE president of PASOK-KINAL chat with me farmers and ranchers, during his visit earlier in the morning, to the Filippidi model livestock unit in the Gazoro settlement of Serres. He strongly criticized the production model followed by the ND government, pointing out: “Unfortunately, today they have a policy that puts many obstacles in the primary sector, a policy without a vision of regional development, a policy that does not see the demographic collapse of the Greek region, a policy which has led the National Health System to absolute decline. The opportunity of the 36 billion Recovery Fund is a lost opportunity.’
On the occasion of the visit to this particular unit, Mr. Androulakis mentioned that its owners took a very big risk and made a big investment. “They were six years late to install a circular economy plan, where biomass is used to produce energy. Six years. Other representatives of the primary sector have not yet succeeded, while even more are looking for connection terms to enter the grid, produce energy and have stable production costs. Unfortunately, the New Democracy government does not promote either the green or the just transition,” he underlined.
“Greece imports food worth 10 billion every year. Why; PASOK’s vision is to connect the primary sector and manufacturing with tourism. Every year 30 million tourists come to Greece, a large percentage will taste our domestic products – our oil, our wine, processed livestock products – they will perceive their quality and look for them on the supermarket shelves in their countries. This is the real development, which connects these critical sectors” concluded the president of PASOK-Movement for Change.
