During her stay on the island, Mrs. Michailidou met with workers, citizens and entrepreneurs, while she visited the Syros Shipyards, which were cleaned up, giving work to hundreds of workers and bringing development to the island, which has linked its history to seafaring . At the Syros Shipyards, Mrs. Michailidou discussed with the management and the workers the issues that concern them, the business development prospects and the opportunities to create new jobs. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening the shipbuilding industry in the country and reiterated the government’s commitment to support the sector.
