Greek ambassador to Ukraine: Kalashnikov fills Kiev – They do not know how to fight, but they have passion

by

Until the last moment, the Greek diplomatic mission remained in Kiev and decided to leave only as soon as it found out that weapons were being distributed to the citizens for a defensive defense, as the Greek ambassador to Ukraine, Vassilios Bornovas, explained on SKAI TV and the PAK show.

Mr. Bournovas explained that Kalashnikovs were given everywhere and people were curious about them in order to defend themselves against the Russian invasion. “They do not know how to fight, they certainly have a passion,” he said, describing the dialogue he had with four young children, aged 20 to 22, before leaving Kiev.

“As we were leaving the embassy, I suddenly saw 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl with the Kalashnikovs they were looking at, with the Molotov cocktails they were making, with sand and pieces of foam inside the bottles. I approached them and asked them “what do you intend to do” and they told me, “we will fight”.

Mr. Bournovas spoke on SKAI’s show on the road about Moldova. There are 13 people in the Greek motorcade.

“We tried to cross a passage to Moldova. It was impossible, I estimated around 5,000 to 6,000 cars. “It seems that mainly women and children are leaving,” he stressed.

Regarding the fighting, the Greek diplomat said that there are more than 40 points of tension across the country and more than 200 targets have been hit.

“They are moving slowly, trying to reach the central Megara. Street fights were observed yesterday around the Presidential Palace (in Kiev). “I understand that now the embassies and the colleagues of special missions are closed in shelters”, he noted.
