“We made the primary sector a ‘click’ better” noted L. Avgenakis
“There is no doubt that the primary sector is full of challenges” emphasized the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras at the handover ceremony of the ministry, pointing out that “we must move quickly in the right direction”.
In fact, he said that “we are here to try as a team all together, to give all our strength to deal with the issues that exist in the primary sector”.
Among other things, the new Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, emphasized that assuming his new duties is “a great honor for me” and promised that everything “possible to help a social group that has particularities and is one of the main pillars of economy”.
He noted that ranchers and farmers are faced with climate change, but also with the accuracy of it. He also added that “the new Common Agricultural Policy is coming and brings new issues, which must be addressed”.
At the same time, Mr. Tsiaras did not fail to refer to the work done by his predecessor, underlining that everyone knows the great fight that was done in the previous period by the HYPAAT, which showed “to the whole society and in the primary sector, that nothing it’s not easy”.
For his part, Lefteris Avgenakis noted that during his tenure “things were not easy” but “we made the primary sector a ‘click’ better”.
He stated that “a lot of work remains to be done to create a safe landscape for the farmers of our country.”
Finally, Mr. Avgenakis said that “when requested, I and my close associates are at your disposal, because above all it is to be useful in this place. Let’s show that this government will produce useful work”.
