“The things that separate us from the PASOK they are less than what can unite us” emphasized the member of his Political Secretariat SYRIZA Kostas Zachariadis speaking yesterday at Action24.

In particular, Mr. Zachariadis, answering a question about whether Stefanos Kasselakis and Nikos Androulakis can meet and “give the message”, supported former Prime Minister George Papandreou’s view of “broader cooperation”, underlining:

“My proposal, which will be made to the collective bodies of the party, is to take political initiatives based on our program in Greece, in the national Parliament, and in Europe, in the European Parliament, for joint actions and synergies on issues where we have common agenda. If this proceeds in a positive way, we have the acquis of Athens, you tell me, it is positive”.

Speaking about the decision of Stefanos Kasselakis to remove Thanasis Theocharopoulos from K.O. of SYRIZA, Mr. Zachariadis said that he respects the President’s decision, but that the evaluation of the executives who are related to the SYRIZA Committee, must be done by the institutions. “The political secretariat of SYRIZA should convene and decide,” he said.

“Thanassis Theocharopoulos is a very important executive, a man who took a great political and personal cost back then to support this policy he believed in and that’s how we managed to bring the Prespa agreement,” he added.

He expressed his opposition to the decision of Mr. Kasselakis to remove Mr. Theocharopoulos, noting that “the decision must be revoked”.
