The think tank consists of Nikos Vakonakis, Dimitrios Konstantinidis, Ridwald Dimo ​​and Gianna Triantaphylli.
Here are brief biographies:
Nikos Vakonakis: Born in Heraklion, Crete, he graduated from the University of Munich with studies in classical philology and then worked as a research assistant in the same department. Lecturer in ancient Greek language and culture at the University of Münster. He was appointed teacher of modern Greek language at the Byzantine Studies department of the University of Münster and appointed teacher of ancient Greek language at the University of Osnabrück. From 2023, he expands his activity as a lecturer, additionally covering the Latin language, while also teaching at other universities. It also collaborates with the University of Koblenz to create an electronic platform for learning the ancient Greek language.
Dimitrios Konstantinidis: He is a journalist. He was born and lived in Melbourne, Australia. In the position of secretary of the World Council of Hellenism Abroad (SAE), he made expatriate cooperation and unity a priority, encouraging the creation of networks of scientists, youth, women, and journalists. In his role as chairman of the Pontic Youth of Melbourne and the Pan-Macedonian Union of Melbourne and Victoria, he highlighted the multicultural heritage and strengthened the public relations of the Greek community. With a rich past and distinctions, it continues to dedicate itself to strengthening Greek communities worldwide.
Riedewald Municipality: Graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia with honors. Graduated from Cranfield University’s postgraduate aerospace programme, with honours. He worked for energy giants such as Mitsubishi Power and Toshiba. He works for one of the UK’s largest financial organisations, Nationwide Building Society, and is a board member of the company’s trade union. Member of many Greek organizations in London, such as the Greek Energy Forum.
Gianna Triantafylli: Gianna (Ioanna) Triantafylli, is a director – music producer and specialized in issues of Greek Ethnicity. She has participated with her films, mainly documentaries of Social Content, in dozens of international festivals and has been honored with two first (A) state awards. She has also been awarded with the “Oikopolis”, as Director of the best Greek Radio Program “Voice of Greece”, as well as by associations and communities of the Greek diaspora. She has worked as a trainer of cultural issues in the Juvenile Prisons of Korydallos, in KETHEA-Strofi- and also in European programs for socially excluded groups. He has collaborated with the M.M. and Communication department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in a series of seminars for the radio on the topic: Greek language and Homogeneity, as well as for recording the problems of Greeks Abroad. Artistic Director at Cultural festivals in Greece, such as the First Mediterranean Festival and the Mediterranean Children’s Festival. Since 2009, he has been directing the historic and unique world Radio of ERT ‘The Voice of Greece’, which is also the only means of Communication, where 24 hours a day it is the bridge of the Greeks of the World, with the motherland, supporting the language and the culture of Greece.
