“He almost said to the workers ‘live your myth in Greece'”
“In an imaginary country is referred to Kyriakos Mitsotakis when he talks to foreign television networks”, mockingly comments o SYRIZA in a statement, referring to what the prime minister said in his CNN interview about the 6-day work.
“The idyllic situation that the Prime Minister described for the workers in the country (he almost told them to “live your myth in Greece”), unfortunately only applies to him and his powerful friends”, as Koumoundourou adds.
SYRIZA’s announcement in detail
Kyriakos Mitsotakis refers to an imaginary country when he talks to foreign television networks. Like today in his CNN interview, where he claimed that the six-day work established by his government applies to very few workers.
In the same interview, he even went so far as to claim that in Greece we have almost established the… 4-day work.
The idyllic situation that the Prime Minister described for the workers in the country (he almost told them to “live your myth in Greece”), unfortunately only applies to him and his powerful friends.
Greek workers know, of course, that the anti-labor regulation for the 6-day work is here, that the flexibility and intensification of work is the norm, that we still have a long way to go before we can talk about decent wages and serious government intervention against employers arbitrariness.
