SYRIZA confirmed Stefanos Kasselakis’ phone call to Maria Syrengela about Pavlos Polakis, which was mentioned by ND, with official opposition sources adding, however, that through the secretary of New Democracy, SYRIZA’s president asked Kyriakos Mitsotakis to takeofficially position for the Member of Parliament of Drama, Dimitris Kyriazidis, who had publicly questioned whether Stefanos Kasselakis should be characterized “the president of SYRIZA”.

Stefanos Kasselakis contacted Ms. Syregela by phone in order to apologize for Mr. Polakis, the New Democracy sources said.

Mr. Kasselakis’ apology was hypocritical, they emphasize, since a few minutes ago Mr. Polakis, with his new post, insisted on yesterday’s vulgar behavior.

“If Mr. Kasselakis really wants to do something, let him delete Mr. Polakisinstead of acting as his advocate over the phone on his behalf” conclude Piraeus circles.

Pavlos Polakis appeared unrepentant for the fierce attack he launched in a broadcast on the secretary of the ND Maria Syregela.

I don’t take a word back from what I said yesterday to a member of parliament who – she didn’t even know the subject we were talking about as if IDIKA operates with gazettes and not with orders from the ministry and EOPYY – she kept talking over me while I was on the phone line so she wouldn’t be heard the DISRUPTION of the politics of the ND with the uninsured! NOT A WORD BACK, WE WILL PAY YOU THE PRICE YOUR UNLIMITED POLICY IS WORTH!!” he adds.
