The government and the opposition cross swords in the Plenary Session of the Parliament on the case of surveillance, after the conclusion of the Supreme Court’s investigation into the possible association of illegal Predator tracking software with the state services of the country.

“The day has come, yes it is today that justice has ruled. And he said that all the insults that you hurled all this time were slanders, they were lies, they were false things, they are not based on the law and the facts and events that this investigation had”, he emphasized from the government benches Makis Voridis, calling on the opposition to stop looking for scams and scandals: “Your political narrative was not served by things. What to do; All the institutions of our Republic concluded that yes, the government is not involved in what was illegal surveillance. Everyone has said it in all tones. You do not like it; I understand”.

The Minister of State, responding to the objections of the opposition, pointedly commented that “all the mythologies that the Left weaves, systematically lead to nothing”, blaming the pre-fabricated case of work: “You have come here with a pre-fabricated case of work and with a specific attribution of responsibilities and because justice does not agree with you, we must falsify it because it does not serve your political narrative. Why don’t you say you don’t want justice?’

ANDROULAKIS: Today’s decision is a temporary washing machine

Earlier, however, Nikos Androulakis launched a fierce attack against both the government and the decision of the Supreme Court, declaring that he will not stop the legal battle.

“Today’s decision to archive, acts as a temporary laundry of responsibility of the current rulers. As long as you will be. Because things change in every democracy and when they change everything will go on another path, the institutions will function normally”, the president of PASOK stressed from the floor of the Parliament, accusing the government that the attempt to hide “the responsibilities of Maximos and of the deep state have infected this country’s organized powers and justice system.”

“Not only will we not be silent, but we will continue the fight against the parastate. Kyriakos Mitsotakis left an indelible mark on his political legacy. The historian of the future will record him as the commander of the operation of the dark parastatal mechanism”, said N. Androulakis, among others.

FAMELLOS: Today we live another act in the cover-up scandal

“Our parliamentary group, Stefanos Kasselakis, when something like this was announced, we felt a deep surprise and concern. We did not expect such a development, we believed that the judicial investigation would shed a lot of light”, commented from the platform the president of the SYRIZA Committee, Sokratis Famellos, with him agreeing with Nikos Androulakis that the announcement of the prosecutor “does not give answers to big questions that have been asked”.

“The prosecutor is coming today to tell us that this was a coincidence. Should we not say that to us it seems absolutely absurd and untrue? What can we say; Should we hide the truth?”, asked Sokratis Famellos, clarifying that “Judicial decisions are respected but that does not mean that they are not amenable to criticism”.
