“The cost of living and punctuality concerns and concerns all of Europe, it is not only a problem in Greece”, he pointed out the ND MEP, Dimitris Tsiodras.

Asked about the portfolio that the country will claim in the EU, Mr. Tsiodras emphasized that there is still no news, given that there are 7 other countries that have not yet given the name of the Commissioner. “The portfolios are defined after the names of the Commissioners are given. What I can tell you is that Greece claims a portfolio with a substantial and practical footprint. My assessment is that we will take from the known”, as he noted.

In a question about his internal party affairs SYRIZAthe “blue” MEP said that “SYRIZA as we knew it is over”, to add:

“This is a party that emerged during the crisis, it was constantly politicized with toxicity and even until the 2023 elections. When all you produce is toxicity, it makes sense for it to turn inside you as well.”

Finally, he found that even Stefanos Kasselakis does not wish to distance himself from this toxicity, “which is better expressed by Pavlos Polakis”, as he characteristically said, and which “is confirmed by the fact that neither MEP Nikos Pappas”.
